The CEEMI facilities are a complex of generation facilities owned and operated by CEEMI, a 100% owned affiliate of CED. CEEMI consists of one nominal 107 megawatt dual-fuel thermal plant with electrostatic precipitators, five hydro stations totaling 18 megawatts, two remote combustion turbines totaling 42 megawatts, and a 21 megawatt on-site combustion turbine. These facilities provide a mix of cycling and peaking capacity, as well as green energy.
CEEMI is operated by its own staff, with asset management provided by CED.
CED’s affiliate, Con Edison Energy, markets the facilities’ output to the New England Power Pool on a merchant basis, as well as in response to standard offer solicitations in the region. Con Edison Energy procures fuel for the facilities. |
