Generadora Electrica del Norte, Limitada (“GENOR”) is a 42 megawatt facility consisting of four Wartsila diesel engines, located in eastern Guatemala, near the port city of Puerto Barrios.
GENOR is operated by plant staff, with asset management support provided by CED. Energy output is marketed by GENOR under medium term contracts to various local industrial businesses and local electric distribution companies and cross-border sales to distribution companies in El Salvador. GENOR sells its surplus energy to the Guatemalan spot market. |
